Grades 1-3

Children in the primary grades of elementary school are transitioning into more extensive learning in content areas such as mathematics, reading, writing, science and social studies. They also begin formulating habits that will help them be successful in school, such as completing classwork, working collaboratively with peers, and turning in homework on time. Additionally, students in this age band need to read at grade level by 3rd grade. They also should enjoy and appropriately interact with others.
